So as soon as I woke up (at about 10am) I grabbed my camera and new lens I got Christmas Eve, let the cats in my room and tried testing out some photos to see how the lens effected my photos :)
On Snowball I tested out using f/1.8, and then using an aperture of f/5.6 which is most likely what my previous lenses would use.
Then I tested out the same thing with my lens cap, and here I think you can really tell the difference of how the smaller aperture effects the photo.
I then went downstairs and got some cereal, but was very surprised to see just how many presents there were. We were basically all expecting to have no presents to open. me - I got a new laptop a few months ago with some early christmas money going towards it, another remainder of my money went towards my holiday, and whats left I wanted to save.
Here are some photos I took throughout the day :)
I do love my nanny :) ^
And of course we also had the fun that all dog owners have, attempting to take some cute photos of a dog in a santa hat while putting it on their head, and hoping it will stay there, and trying to get them to look at the camera whilst they aren't ripping it off their head... hmm... that'll work !
I carried everything up to my room - In one journey of course - You have to grab tons of stuff in your arms and struggle up the stairs carrying it all, before plonking it all down in your room - anyone else do this?
I then had a lovely meal (three bird roast and gammon) and we sat down for the afternoon to watch Skyfall. I can't exactly remember what happened to the evening, but I think we watched another film?
Crystal opening her Christmas present!
Stay tuned!
